The Castelet Excavations
Summary
On the occasion of the exhibition in homage to the work of the scholar Louis
Poumeyrol, the batches of ceramics exhumed in the Castelet excavations
were re-examined in the light of new archaeological data, in particular
the earthenware with green and brown painted decoration. he regional
origin undoubtedly comes from the nearby workshop of Beaucaire, active in
the 14th century.
