Summary
Guide to the collections of the Arles antique departmental museum in French. The "blue museum", 
designed by the architect Henri Ciriani as a "museum city", houses a permanent collection of 1700 objects 
including the presumed portrait of Julius Caesar, an exceptional collection of sarcophagi from the beginning 
of Christianity, an impressive Gallo barge -Roman baptized Arles-Rhône 3 and other treasures discovered in 
the “little Rome of the Gauls”.
